Soprano Abby Mae Rogers is a dynamic young singer who is enthusiastic about making a career in the opera world. She hopes to help make opera accessible to and enjoyed by a more diverse audience through her passionate storytelling and dynamic acting skills.
Ms. Rogers recently made her opera debut as a part of the chorus in Ithaca College’s 2017 production of La clemenza di Tito. She also was a Studio Artist at Miami Music Festival’s Opera Institute this past summer, where she covered Le nozze di Figaro’s Barbarina, and Ms. Dara in Dan Shore’s one act opera, An Embarrassing Position. Previous highlights include training in Urbania, Italy at the Si Parla, Si Canta summer program.
Ms. Rogers earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Ithaca College in May of 2017. She studied under Dr. Ivy Walz. She is currently applying to graduate programs in hopes to continue her studies opera performance. Conversational in Italian and quick to learn languages, Ms. Rogers is hoping to travel and sing abroad. She is passionate about working with children and hopes to inspire young children and families to have a life-long love of music.
