Pittsburgh based tubist John Caughman is a Master’s student of Craig Knox at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music. He has performed with orchestras such as the New World Symphony in Miami, FL, the Firelands and Mansfield Symphonies, and attended the National Repertory Orchestra and National Orchestral Institute summer festivals. Originally from Portland OR, John began his musical studies on trumpet, switching to tuba at age 13. He earned his Bachelor’s of Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2014. His wife, Cecilia, is a cellist and also teaches at Kathy’s Music.
