NEW: Musical Theatre Group Voice Class

Music lessons that meet you where you are

(and take you where you want to go)

At Kathy’s Music, we believe every musical journey is personal.

That’s why our private and group music lessons are built on connection first. From your very first lesson, our teachers take time to get to know how you learn best and what excites you about music. Whether you’re a school-age beginner, a passionate teen, or an adult picking up an instrument for the first time, we meet you where you are—then tailor the learning path to fit your goals.

This isn’t the kind of lesson where you sit stiffly through scales or follow a rigid program. Progress feels like joy. You’ll play music you love, build confidence step by step, and discover new possibilities at every stage. Because the best learning happens when you feel seen, supported, and inspired.

We’ve helped thousands of Pittsburgh-area students develop their skills, explore their creativity, and build a lifelong love of music.

Benefits of music lessons

Grow confidence that lasts

Celebrate every breakthrough as your child realizes they can do hard things—and loves doing them. With each new skill, their self-belief grows.

Build resilience through practice

Lessons teach more than music. Students learn to face challenges, overcome frustration, and keep going—skills that carry over into every part of life.

Discover passion and possibility

As students grow, their love for music deepens. They begin to explore new styles, try new instruments, and even perform or compose with pride.

Voice Lessons

Voice lessons help students of all ages develop their vocal abilities safely and confidently. Perfect for preparing for an audition or simply discovering the joy of singing. Our teachers provide expert, age-appropriate guidance in a supportive environment.

Group Voice Classes explore musical theatre through singing, theatre games, and  performances in the fall and spring. Musical growth through shared learning.

Our Group Lessons are designed for ages 6–9 and offer the perfect balance of structure, support, and social connection. These small classes are ideal for students who are ready to learn an instrument, but may feel more comfortable learning in a group before stepping into one-on-one instruction.

With personalized attention from the teacher and encouragement from peers, students build foundational skills while gaining the confidence to grow as musicians. Many students start here and later move into private lessons with a strong sense of readiness, motivation, and musical joy.
