Music lessons and Kindermusik in Pittsburgh - McMurray, Mt. Lebanon, and Squirrel Hill
Connecting hearts and inspiring a love of music for every age
Whether you’re discovering your baby’s love of music, encouraging the talents of a budding performer, or rediscovering your own musical spark, we’re here to guide your journey with joyful exploration, caring instructors, and lifelong growth.
Discover the joy of music that bonds, inspires, and grows with you
We help families create a joyful foundation in music that lasts a lifetime—whether you’re starting with baby’s first song, building skills in lessons, or taking the stage at a summer camp performance.
Our programs support every stage of your child’s development. From enhancing early brain growth to building academic readiness, emotional regulation, and confidence, music nurtures the whole child—and we make it magical along the way.
We offer Kindermusik classes for ages 0–7, music lessons for students and adults, and vibrant summer music camps—all designed to grow with your child from curious beginner to confident musician, with clear next steps at every turn. Our goal is to provide community based music education that fosters a deep love of music in students of all ages within the greater Pittsburgh area.
If you’re looking for a place where your child feels seen, supported, and inspired to make music their own, you’re in the right place.
Music that
changes everything
We don’t just teach music. We guide students and families through joyful, life-changing journeys—one note, moment, and memory at a time.
Whether you’re enrolling your toddler in their first music class or watching your teen take the stage in a summer band, we’re here to meet each student right where they are: no molds, no one-size-fits-all approach. Our passionate educators build strong relationships and create a welcoming space where every student feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
Families are often surprised by the lasting impact of their musical experience. Parents see the hopes and dreams for their child take root, and students fall in love with music, not just as a skill, but as a lifelong companion.
Because when music becomes part of your life, it changes everything.
Our mission:
To transform lives through the power of music by creating journeys that build confidence, spark joy, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
We believe music has the power to change the world.

We just started attending music class with Miss Lesley this spring and I already signed up for fall classes with her. My son loves her and her class! He’s really come out of his shell and we sing the songs from class all throughout the week. It’s been a lot of fun for me to watch him blossom.
Jenna Williams
I have had the pleasure of having Miss Julie teach both of my girls in Levels 1 & 2 and their love of music has just grown and grown. Kindermusik is a staple of our week! I am so happy she was my children’s introduction to music! We can’t wait to continue with Kindermusik + Kathy’s Music!!

Meet Kathy
From one musical parent to another
I’m Kathy Morrison—educator, curriculum writer, and founder of Kathy’s Music. But before all that, I was a Kindermusik parent just like you. What began as a way to support my toddler’s development quickly became a lifelong mission to share the power of music with other families.
With 25 years of teaching experience and a program consistently ranked among the top Kindermusik studios worldwide, I’ve spent the last two decades helping children (and their grownups) fall in love with music.
The heartbeat of our studio
Our team is more than a group of talented teachers. We are passionate educators, collaborative creatives, and champions for every student who walks through our doors. Each of our instructors is an expert in their craft and many are active performers in their community. But what truly sets them apart is their heart: the way they greet students with a smile, offer encouragement at just the right moment, and tailor every lesson to bring out the best in each learner.
From our skilled studio concierges to our dedicated interns, every member of our team plays a vital role in making our school feel like home. We support one another, celebrate each other’s wins, and model the same kindness and teamwork that we nurture in our students. Just like every child matters, every team member matters. That’s how the magic happens.
