Makeup Policy
Missed a class or lesson? Here’s how to schedule a makeup.
Life happens—we’ve got options.
Kindermusik families are eligible for unlimited makeup classes while continuously enrolled. Book a makeup through your Portal account within 60 days of the missed class. Private Lesson students can attend virtually or request up to 4 in-person makeups per school year (2 per semester) plus 1 for summer lessons when absence is submitted one day prior. Please note: makeups are a courtesy, not guaranteed.
Changes & Withdrawals
Change your enrollment anytime using the “Change My Enrollment Form” in our app or Linked Here. Enrollments may be stopped at the end of any month during the school year. Be sure to submit by the last business day of the month to avoid charges for the next month. Refunds aren’t available for payments processed. Enrollment ends when paused and makeups are no longer available.
Tuition & Payment Info

Payment runs at the time of registration. We prorate tuition.
Tuition is paid monthly by credit card on the 1st of each month.
Registration fees are $45 per student (Kindermusik & Group Lessons) or per family (Private Lessons). No summer fees.
Summer Camps and Kindermusik are paid in full at registration. Cancel before May 1 for a partial refund (minus $50 processing fee). After May 1, no refunds will be issued. Families are welcome to transfer to another summer experience.
Health & Safety
Here’s how we protect the health of students, teachers, and families.
If your child or student is feeling unwell, we invite you to stay home to rest and recover. Families may submit an absence and schedule a makeup class using the portal. Virtual private lessons are available when appropriate. We appreciate your help keeping everyone safe and healthy.
Weather Cancellations
What to expect when snow or storms close the studio.
When the weather turns icy, we’ll move classes and lessons to Zoom. You’ll find Zoom links and passwords in your Parent Portal (via our app). Notifications go out through the Kathy’s Music app, so make sure notifications are turned on. Teachers may also offer recorded class or lesson materials. We do not reschedule for weather-related closures.
Non-Enrollment Siblings
Due to limited class sizes and the hands-on nature of our youngest Kindermusik classes, non-enrolled siblings may attend baby (0–2) and toddler (2–3) classes only if they can remain content in a car carrier or baby wrap throughout class. Older siblings are not able to join these classes. Siblings age 6 and older may wait independently in our common areas. Families enrolled in Kindermusik Levels 3, 4, and 5 are invited to include siblings during Sharing Time at the end of class. Non enrolled siblings are not permitted to attend lessons.
