Why summer music just makes sense

Summer should be simple—and filled with smiles. Our summer music offerings are designed to bring joy, structure, and creativity to your child’s day, while giving you a flexible, enriching solution that fits your family’s rhythm.

Keep skills sharp, try something new, or just get out of the house for something fun. With drop-off camps, weekly classes, and low-commitment lessons, there’s something for every age and schedule.

Here’s why families love summer music at Kathy’s Music:

  • Low-commitment options that fit your vacation plans
  • Convenient class times that work for parents
  • Engaging, screen-free fun your child will actually look forward to
  • Creative learning that builds confidence and sparks new interests
  • A chance to explore music, art, and theatre in a safe and nurturing environment

Arts Infusion Camp:
Music. Movement. Masterpieces.

If your child lights up when they’re creating, performing, or experimenting with something new, Arts Infusion Camp is the summer experience made just for them. Over five joyful days, students explore a full spectrum of the arts with daily music lessons (violin, piano, and guitar), hands-on art classes with mixed media, energetic movement, and playful music games.

Perfect for ages 6–10, this premier drop-off camp nurtures your child’s creativity while building skills that last—confidence, focus, collaboration, and expression. Whether they’re picking up an instrument for the first time or building on what they already know, our small groups ensure everyone is challenged and inspired.

We provide everything—quality instruction, instruments, art materials, and a safe, welcoming space. Your child brings their imagination and leaves with new friends, new skills, and a deeper love of the arts.

Turn up the volume in a summer rock band

This summer, take your music to the next level by joining a real band. Designed for students ages 11–17, Performance Band brings together 4–5 musicians to rehearse, collaborate, and perform as one unit. Under the guidance of indie pop artist Kirsten Heibert, students will rehearse weekly on Thursday evenings, developing the skills it takes to play in sync, listen across parts, and deliver a powerful performance.

Band members choose their name, help select songs, and work as a team to prepare two selections for a live showcase performance during Musical Theatre week. It’s teamwork, creativity, and confidence-building all wrapped up in one unforgettable experience.

Perfect for vocalists, guitarists, keyboard players, drummers, and ukulele players who want to experience the energy of performing in a band.

Important: All students are required to take private lessons for 6 weeks to support mastery of their part.

What to expect:

We provide: drum set, keyboard, amps, microphones, and music stands.

Students provide: guitar or ukulele if needed.

Sing, shine, and take the stage in our singing camp
