Meet Betsy Kochman

Betsy began playing piano at the age of five and student teaching in her instructor’s studio when she was thirteen.  At Washington and Jefferson College she studied under Dr. Susan Woodard and graduated with a minor in piano performance in 2005, along with a double major in English and History.  She continued to teach privately throughout college and into her professional career before joining Kathy’s Music team, a place she had grown to love when her two daughters joined for violin lessons.

When she isn’t teaching history to high schoolers or editing research papers, you can find her reading, cooking or spending time with her husband, kids, and three cats.  She loves helping students reach new heights and do things they never thought possible. She also loves helping them find the joy in playing the music close to their hearts.
