Gabriella (Ella) Battistelli, a flute performance student at the University of Pittsburgh, has been playing many different instruments from a young age.
Starting violin at the age of 7, she has since grown her love of performance starting piano at age 8, flute at age 9, and alto saxophone at age 10. Aside from taking lessons, Ella has been a part of numerous orchestras as well as school festivals around the Central PA area. Ella now focuses her time primarily on the flute and piccolo. She has played the piccolo in both the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band and Concert Band for the past four years.
Ella plans on graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with her BA in music
performance in the Spring of 2024 and plans on continuing her education in Duquesne University’s Music Therapy Masters and Equivalency program with the goal of becoming a music therapist.
