Meet Inessa Beylin

Inessa Beylin is a professional pianist, vocal coach and music educator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Since her arrival in Pittsburgh in 1998.

She has collaborated with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh on several productions, appeared in numerous recitals with the finest Pittsburgh’s musicians both locally and nationally, and was featured on WQED public radio. For the last 15 years she has been serving on the faculty at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University where she coaches and accompanies both undergraduate and graduate voice students.  Since 1999 Ms. Beylin has also been teaching piano at City Music Center at Duquesne University (one of only 22 community music schools in the United States accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music).  Prior to that Inessa had been on the faculty at the International Vocal Art Institute in Italy and Israel, where she worked closely with world renowned voice teachers and conductors , coached young opera singers and accompanied opera productions.

Inessa holds a B.M. in piano pedagogy from Mussorgsky College, St. Petersburg (Russia) and  B.M. in piano performance from Tel Aviv University (Israel). She earned her  M.M.  at Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Lucy Arner, Assistant Conductor at Metropolitan Opera, and was responsible for music preparation of opera productions.
