It is amazing how a small object can represent something so big. This key represents a new milestone for our Mt. Lebanon Studio. After planning and waiting for the last year, Kathy’s Music finally acquired the suite right next to our current studio in Lebanon Shops Plaza at the end of March. We are both expanding and consolidating our studio.
Construction began on March 28th as the team from T-Construction built out a new preschool classroom designed just for Kindermusik Level 3 and Level 4 – as well as our Kindergarten Enrichment program. If you’ve been in our space over the last 10 days, then you’ve probably noticed the new opening in the wall that connects the new side to the existing suite.
Special thanks to our electrician, Gary! He installed all new LED ceiling light panels throughout our studio space creating a brighter, daylight-like experience.

This key also represents a vision for a very special teaching space that we’ve been dreaming about for a long time. After nearly 10 years in this building, our dream is coming true. We are creating a destination where families can build stronger connections as they gather in a space that is easier to navigate. Our renovated studio will provide a better place for teachers with customized design for their needs, improved lighting, and a new break room area, making it easier than ever to collaborate.
What can our families look forward to?
- A new studio entrance with a centralized Welcome Desk.
- Six lesson rooms devoted to private and group lessons.
- An all new Kindermusik Preschool Classroom that will double as a lesson room in the evenings.
- More concurrent classes where families can bring younger and older children to classes at the same time.
- Common Area spaces for parents to use as they wait during their student’s classes or lessons.
- New and improved traffic flow for drop off and pick up for all classes, lessons, kindergarten enrichment, and summer camps.
- Plus, our large Kindermusik Classroom now has a new wall and doorway creating a more secure space with improved sound quality.
If you are a family currently taking lessons or Kindermusik classes in Mt. Lebanon, thank you for your patience! There’s a little bit of extra noise, perhaps a little more dust, and definitely some new activity going on as we continue to work on this construction/renovation project.
