Rock Band led by Kirsten Heibert

This summer, take your music to the next level with a band of 3-5 students performing rock and pop music. Discover how the different parts of the band come together to create the music you want to learn. Develop your musical ear for pitch, rhythms, and tempo in order to play together as one unit. Kirsten Heibert is a multi-instrumentalist and member of an indie pop band. She is a performer and songwriter for voice, piano and guitar.

Students bring their own guitar or ukulele if needed. We will provide a keyboard, amps, microphones, music stands, and a drum set for rehearsals. Band parts will be written and customized to match the level/instruments of the students in the group. Songs will be carefully considered with student interest and age-appropriate content in mind.

The band will perform 2 selections during showcase week, July 25th, at Wright United Methodist Church starting at 6:30 PM followed by a Musical Theatre production from one of our camp groups.

Important: All students in Performance Bands are required to take private lessons for 6 weeks to assist with mastering their individual parts.
