Passionate. Personal. Professional.

Meet Christin Cooper

Christin Cooper is a pianist and choral director from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She moved to Pittsburgh in the summer of 2017 following the completion of her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Delaware. A frequent collaborator, Christin has accompanied for the University of Delaware Children’s Choirs, Concert Choir, and Chorale. Her new-found love of art song has led her to Minneapolis as a participant in the Source Song Festival over the past two summers.

In addition to her work as a pianist, Christin has taught choral and general music in independent schools in New York and Delaware. In the summer of 2016 she spent three weeks in the south of France as a conducting scholar with the Delaware Choral Academy. Christin holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Bucknell University as well as Level II Kodaly certification. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the National Music Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda.

Christin is beyond thrilled to be teaching piano lessons at Kathy’s Music. She enjoys the creativity of teaching and loves working with students to discover their own unique musical strengths and interests. In addition to teaching, Christin serves as Assistant Music Director for Children at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon.
